Your device will notify you whenever the update is available, but sometimes, you may simply miss it or forget about it. Don’t worry, because with a few clicks you can check for the update manually.

Before you proceed, make sure that you are connected to a Wi-Fi network (better option than mobile data because you will avoid the costs).

To manually update the software on your Samsung Galaxy Note 4, do the following:

  • Go to Settings
  • Tap About phone
  • Tap Software updates and then click on Check for updates.

If your Galaxy Note 4 find a new update, all you need to do is tap Download now. This may take several minutes. When the download process is finished, tap Install Update.
